temperature question

Default temperature question

alright well yesterday my 5.0 was fixed to the max.. put all new parts in and fixed 2 gauges due to wire problems, now when i start the car up... at idle point... how long does it take for the temperature gauge to start moving??? rememeber at the point of idle

yeah i mean it moves very slow.. i was jw how long it takes for the temperature to rise.. i think its normal

It depends on the outside temp for one and if you are sitting in the driveway warming up or driving. I never idle my car even when cold. I'm moving within 30 seconds or so are starting. I just drive slow until I see the gauge move off the C. Within 5 or so minutes I see the gauge move pretty much at any temp. If idling I couldn't tell you.

Sounds like it. So long as your in the normal range between 10 and 20 minutes you're good.
