Default Carb Conversion - Looking for experienced help

Okay so here's the deal. My 86 is currently undergoing a motor rebuild thanks to a bad wristpin, but as of this point I'm undecided on a full 347 kit or just a 306, money & time will tell.

What I want from you guys, is a full blown explanation, pics, links to other build threads, anything that can help with my attempt at a CLEAN carb conversion. My car was a twin turbo dragster that was converted back to a stock 5L car, so needless to say my wiring is an absolute mess. My fuel pump runs continuously(doesn't prime), my starter has 2 solenoids, I mean the list goes on and on. I'm gonna start hacking into wiring here, so I need to know what harnesses I can scrap, what needs to stay, wiring colors, etc..

So far I have what appears to be 2 large harnesses, one coming from the passenger side, which is where the computer is, and another coming from near the brake booster, which I can only assume is mainly the body wiring. I havn't traced anything yet, but confirmation of this would be nice before I waste my time.

Also, what parts will I need to be changing out, like throttle cables, bracketry, linkages, etc.. Please list everything.

Please make my adventure easier.
