Default Bogging under acceleration

Hi I have a 92 5.0 mustang convertable with a few issues. The car boggs at low rpm under acceleration and then bursts with power most of the time. Sometimes it boggs then backfires and accelerates. When i pull over for a few min and then restart the car works fine for a min and then the same problem occurs. put new plugs, wires, tps, and replaced all vacuum lines. The car has no Cats, egr. Has longtube headers and cold air intake though. If Anyone can assist Please Help.... Very frustrated..... lol check engine light came on once and car worked great, then took a break and restarted. check engine went off and car worked like **** again lol
