Question Strange Spark plug in supercharged 5.0

Hi,

I bought this 5.0 about a month or so ago. It has given me No problems what so ever, Probably due to the fact that pretty much everything in the motor is new or performance related new. The car was built right, and has reciepts to prove it. But what i cant figure out is what the hell this plug is for?

It starts under the intake manifold then has what looks like some kind of filter, then the plug! All the normal spark plugs are hooked up with performance wires as i visually checked them. But im not sure where this goes or what its to.
The car hits 9psi of boost just fine.

Im sure i sound stupid, but i just want to make sure this car is taken care of right, and im not a mechanic but have a basic knowledge of cars.

Can anyone help me figure out what this hose/spark plug is or goes to??

thanks,
Bill

cars under boost will blow air out of vac. ports. he prob put the filter on to keep oil from blowing out the line. when that didnt work he plugged it with what was closest. just a thought

like stated above, put a vacuum cap where the hose is connected to the manifold and throw the hose away.

That hose is going to the PCV valve location (I bet). When the blower was installed your suppost to plug or cap off the PCV valve, so that oil dosn't blow out of it.

If you buy the Holley Systemmax intake it comes plugged for you.

+1, the filter was probably put on there as a makeshift blow-by vapor trap/catch can and, when it didn't work, rather than do it right way the guy got lazy and stuck whatever he had handy.
