Default N/A Anderson Power Pipe

Searched the forums and only found a couple instances where I could have asked but I didn't feel like bringing any threads back from the dead.

Does anyone have any experience with this on a n/a car? Is there sufficient gains over the stock intake?

Also, it says on the website the n/a power pipes only fit 89-93 5.0's. Is this only because 89 was when the conversion to maf happened and they only work on maf?

Any help appreciated, thanks!

They say 89-93 because the pipe would be shorter because of the connection for the mass air. On a stock motor you won't see any significant gains. It would be pretty much the same instance with a cold air intake. Just get a K&N drop in filter and remove the air silencer. If you like the look of a CAI (I know I do) the they are worth the extra minimal gain over the K&N filter way. IDK why they wouldn't offer a 87-89 if they don't. Maybe its because pretty much everyone looking for power goes to mass air anyway.
