Tire size question..?

Default Tire size question..?

Alright so i have 275 tires on one pair of welds, and i just got another used set and they have 245 tires in the rear, the only thing is, they both are 10.5 inches wide? I dont get it?

thats because the old owner stretched the tires on.

just because the tire is wide, doesnt mean the contact patch is that big.

FWIW, my 275/40/17 nitto 555R's are thinner than my 275/50/15 BFG drag TA's were

What do you mean, which tire is stretched? Theyre both on 8 inch welds...

Well the 245 of mine is the BFG comp t/a or something, the normal street tire looking one and the 275 is the BFG g force drag radial and theyre the same size...
