Default RE: Headlights

If you want bright, get an aftermarket HID conversion kit. Yeah, you might spend $350 or more, but they are brighter than any halogen bulb out there and you will never go back. I put a set on my mustang and a set on my integra. They look the same as on the luxury vehicles, because they are essentially the same type of kit. Everyone says, "oh, dont get them, they are illegal" but so are the higher wattage aftermarket bulbs that are for off road and show only. I never once had a problem in 3 years because so many vehicles come with them stock now. They also are supposed to last for like 10 years or something like that. They are just expensive. But, seriously, I have projectors on my integra, and I had aftermarket high wattage bulbs and they were so dim. I put in the HID's and they are like driving with brights on, but brighter... Anyways, do a search on yahoo for HID's and check out the technology. The brand "Hella" makes really good ballasts, but they don't make a complete kit. You have to find a manufactrer that uses Hella ballast and ,say, Philips bulbs. The manufacturer I use is HID Plus but they don't produce those kits anymore, so I don't really have a suggestion on a specific brand name that I have tried. I have friends that have used other kits and like them. One brand was called Meccatune and they use Hella ballasts. Hella ballasts are used in most of the aftermarket kits that are good quality. Just to give you an example of how bright they are-I was sitting next to my friends 01 mustang with his stock headlights on and when I turned mine on, you couldn't even tell his were on because mine lit up so much of the road ahead. Just food for thought...

just get some stockers and put in good bulbs. projectors on foxes is rice and dont look right
Im going to order them prolly next week, I got the 6 piece replacement ones off 50restore.com and they are nice but they are really dim specially with the black covers, So I think the projectors will shine nicley through the blacked out front light so it wont be looking too ricey.

350.00 for headlight conversion please, I would rather spend 50 for some killer driving lamps and light up both lanes

http://www.geocities.com/jhce112/index.html here's a web site for a kit that someone I know has. Check em out. Pay attention to the next new BMW or Mercedez or Lexus you see at night. Just look at the way they light up the road next to your car and you'll know why I recommended HID's. I picture really doesn't justify.

The HID kit is to much. Which do you think looks better?
