Ok so this isn't about mustangs but it does deal with the 5.0L . I am working on a 1981 bronco that has a 5.0L in it but the engine was from an unknown car it is Carb still no fuel injection. The question I have is has anyone seen this firing order before because I can't find it anywhere and it was the order that was on it when I got it and it ran just a little ruff.

Here is the firing order that was on it when I got it : 1-4-2-6-3-7-8-5 ????

And here is the order that it should be: 1994 and earlier 5.0L & 7.5L : 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8

I can get it it run on the order it should be in but it runs ruff and does start easy . . timing issue or carb issue????

make sure it doesn't have a motor that carries the 351/h.o firing order, 13726548

Ok so heres an update on the situation , I got it to start with the right firing order but it will only run with me giving it some gas and then it will drop out and die after about 30 seconds / doesn't idle . I'm starting to think it could be the ignition module or the carb needs to be rebuilt ??? I have no idea whats going on.???
