Default Removing A/C and Smog. Converting to electric fan.

Im planning to remove my smog pump and A/C. I was thinking id get the smog pump eliminator pulley and the A/C delete kt that relocates my power steering. My question is what are the components that I can take out of the A/C system.?

The compressor and condenser and accumulator? do I cap the opening the compressor line goes into the accumulator or do I take it out altogether?

you dont need to get a pulley, i just took my smog crap off and just bypassed it with a smaller belt, for the a/c, the condenser, that big long hose that runs around to the passenger side. and that fatty tank on the passenger side also. then get the ford racing a/c eliminator kit and with that you can just slide the powersteering up a notch.
If you havent got an electric fan yet, would you consider a taurus fan off a 3.8 v6 from the junkyard?
i just picked one up today, and its pretty cool its got 2 speeds and sucks in a sufficient amount of air. payed 20 bucks for it

You can ditch the A/C WOT relay on the p.s. strut tower, also. Cut out the wires and connections for a cleaner engine bay. Unless you plan on going back to it eventually.

Unfortunately I am stationed here and not back home in Texas where I would keep the smog pump.

That's because it's a federal law that applies to all states. Illegal to remove O.E. emissions equipment in any state.

Mustang owners make thier own laws around here!!!!

Youcan remove the smog with out the eliminater kit. FOr the a/c get the kit and remove the compressor, dryer, condensor, and all lines. Just for resale value i would tape up the evaperator lines going into the firewall and tape all the wires for the system. Dont cut them cause (most say they wont) but if you ever get ready to sale you can mention the a/c and all wires can be connected liek factory. Buyers are more welling to work with a car that can be made to blow ice air again

Smog pump delete maybe illegal, but that didn't stop me. :-) AC delete is next.
