Default maf conversion problems

Sorry i keep posting on the same thing but im getting different issues.
I just did a MAF conversion to a 1986 GT 5spd
The computer is out of a 91 A9l standard trans
I wired the sensor, changed the fuel wires in the plug, and ran the wire from the VSS to the EEC.
The car starts and idles fine, but the second I give it gas it will either stall or rev.
When I am driving it will die in low rpm unless i floor it which will make it rev. Also when It is at idle, I can hear the air flowing through the sensor but it is not constant. It pauses at times then picks up again. I am all out of ideas. Any help would be appreciated
BTW I did the conversion because I put a e303 and a set of gt40 heads on the motor and it was running rough.
Thanks

Would it matter which gauge wiring i use? Its not like telephone wire but its smaller than the 18ga that runs throughout the car. I figured I didnt need anything thick because its just sending the signal, but now that I am having trouble i am looking back at it... Think that could have something to do with it?

ive been reading up on it a little and it seems as if i should to a base reset. As in clean the throttle body, IAC, and TPS. would this be worth looking into?
