Default 351-393

What’s up guys iv just came into a deal on a 351 Windsor I had read something about doing a 393 stroker and had a few questions about what i heard. The said all that would have to happen would be is the custom crank 351 length rods and 302 piston (i don’t understand that) they did not classify weather or not any machining would be necessary.

So if yall could fix me up that would be great.

Also does anybody have any rough estimates on hp w/ some small 202 heads and a mild-moderate cam. around 9.5-10-1 comp .

Thanks a lot for your comments.

I think you can buy all the parts off the shelf and not have to do any block machining with this amount of stroke. Summit sells most of the parts, but you might want to buy it as a balanced kit...shop around.

the block requires some machining for the larger stock to clearance for the rods...and small 202 heads wouldn't be a great choice.... I wold opted for a 2.05 valve and a fairly small streetable cam

I dont want to big of heads on this motor for the simple reason i want it to remain streetable. Thats the reason for the smal cam too. But i figured it would be a little more than 350-400 i was looking for around 480-500 to the ground. Its also fuel injected. If that helps yall out any. I looked threw summit and they didnt seem to say **** about it so im just going threw a local guy here in town.

You should be able to get it with all motor only on pump gas. Good heads and matching cam are the key. Invest in Dyno software before buying any parts, it will be worth it.

There are a couple of brands of software that allow you to model and engine electronically so you can choose components that work better with each other. Dyno 2000 or a later version is one.
