Default Throttle Position sensor!

Hey, So now that I ordered a new Holley carb.. I need a throttle position Sensor.... what the hell is that and why do i need it.. The one I took off the car is chared beyond recongnition and i can't seem to find anything on the internet.. Any one know if I actually need this?? or where i can find a photo of one?

Sorry for all the questions.. Just a girl looking for answers and help!

carb does not have a throttle position sensor of a fox 5.0 85 and below, is yor car a cfi/efi mustang???

Cfi I believe.. it doesn't have fuel injected.
this is a part that was on the side of the card mounted with 2 bolts and was right in front of the throttle. Looking through the booo I thought it was called a throttle position sensor. I'm probably wrong

CFI is central fuel injection. If you have a carb you do not have it.

Do you have a photobucket account? You can upload the pictures, they give you an embed link ([img ] ....[/img]) and you just cut and paste that to post pictures. It's a bid hard to see the pics in your profile, small size.

if it is a carb, it is what is known possible as a throttle kicker selonoid to bump idle in cold conditions
