I was just wanting some input on aftermarket fans and fan clutches. I was looking at a flexilite fan since mine got screwed up and was wondering if it will work better than the stock plastic one. Thanks.

Quality after market electric fans are the way to go.

They acutally do free up horses, fair amount of resistance taken off the motor (the fan).

Yea, I know. I just don't have the money right now to do that, so I was wondering if just one of the nice aftermarket fan and fan clutch would be worth doing since its all apart right now anyway? Thanks.

ya, you can get a thermal clutch, and an after market fan for not that much, and it will work better than what you have now. however, you will deffinetly want to save 200$ for a flex-lite and get an adjustable thermostat control. jeep was right. for instance, in my stang it has so much motor that it gets really hot under the hood, and if i'm sitting in traffic for a long time w/out moveing, then the heat builds up after a while and sometimes the temp starts to rise. this weekend i'm converting to an electric, and i'll let you know the dif.
