Default gt40p question

heres my delima i was plaining on rebuilding my engine and decking my heads and basicaly building the whole engine port matching everything etc. due to a recent break down of my dd i have no where near the money i need so heres my plan. im gunna throw my gt40p heads and explorer intake on my current stock 87 gt engine for alittle extra power gains and some fun this summer
question 1 are the stock push rods the correct lenght for the p heads or do i need new ones ( im gunna check anyway)
question 2 will this set up fall on its face with the stock cam in there?

what he said (about the pushrods ) as far as ur stk cam with ur explorer parts why would they make ur car fall on its face ...........ur takin a stock short block and adding better stk parts in this case higher flowing parts so if anything ull see sum horsepower gains espeically by changing the heads

if your DD has **** the bed, why dont you just save up some money until you can afford to do the job right?

There is never enough money to do the job right the first time, but there is always enough money to do the job over.... weird

^ tru that, always do it right once. Trust us we know because weve done it over again and in the long run you spend more money and have less fun because the car will be down again.
