Default 89 AOD stall problem

One of my buddies has an 89 fox body with an AOD. He had the tranny rebuilt and went with a bigger stall but when we put it all together the car wouldn't even crank. I even tried turning the crank by hand and it would not turn. We checked to see if anything was getting jammed and it was all clear and free of any binding. We made sure it was in park and all the linkage was good but still it wouldn't even turn over. It was like the motor was seized. I know someone is pointing and laughing at their screen right now but hey autos aren't my thing. So if you know what is going on please let me know and as always thanks for your info.

Who did the tranny install? Something is bound up. Can't say for sure what, but something isn't straight.

did you spin the motor by hand both ways to see if it would move at all or just one way?

Sounds to me like the converter wasn't fully seated. Back all of the bellhousing bolts out until they are barely in, and try turning the motor over by hand. If it turns, you need to seat the converter properly.

Could be something binding up in the torque converter or not seated proply like FLcracker9 mentioned.

When you dropped the torque converter in the trans, did you make sure it went all the way in? It could have not went all the way in and cocked a little.

Thanks guys! We only herd it click twice and one of the other forums said it should have clicked 3 times. I guess we have to pull it all apart and try it again.
