i am totaly redoing my 1991 mustang gt, and i have hit a wall. my body shop friend told me that a piece of the trim on my mustang can come off and that i can buy a new one. is it possible? where can i get one? here is a pic of a mustang and the part i am needin thanks

Id just check the junk yards first, or even try to sand down and paint if at all possible, i really dont know if u can cause I have a vert.

 

you cant just sand that down. if its the rubber striping on the door. just buy a new one. junk yards will have junk ones. its worth it along with other rubber products. our cars have very poor rubber with their ages

 

no it isnt the rubber, this is a a big metal piece, all other years dont have this but the 91 and i believe 90

 

what your arrow is pointing at is the door frame and where the rubber seal goes. now why would only a 90/91 have it an the others dont

 

^^^^exactly. i have it on my 92 LX. who told you they only have them on the 90-91 stangs.

 

ok, it is metal it is allittle to the right of my arrow but it looks like part of the door

 

i know exactly what hes talkin about its likt the window frame and its black metal

 

exactly, it looks like its part of the door but the guy that is painting my car is possitive it comes off. i cant even find a place you can buy it

 

hes a tool. go elsewhere. there isnt nothing that comes off the window frame except the weather seal
