abs sensor. Please help before I cut it.

I'm doing a gear swap in my 94' gt. I found out that you have to break the abs sensors in the back to get them out. Which I did. I bought new ones. Now my question is how do I get to the plug to plug the new one in. If you trace the old abs sensor wire it goes into a rubber grommet and into the inside of the car. I pulled out the grommet and I can not reach the plug to unplug the old one to plug the new one in. I tried to pull on the wire and there is no slack to get to the plug. Is the only way to get to this plug by tearing out the back seat? I dont want to do that. I was thinking about cutting the old wire and cutting the new plug and splicing them together since I cant get to the plug to unplug it. UNless you guys have a easie solution or maybe I'm missing something. Thanks

take what you have to out of the car/inside it to get to it, do not cut and splice the wire!!!!!!!!!!! why?? an abs sensor generates an AC signal and is often shielded by the casing of the harness to keep unwanted RF interference out from interfering with the AC signal that is generated, so do not cut it!! don't be lazy!!!!!!! it'll cost you more in the long run if you take the lazy mans path

Do not cut the wire. If you do you will wish to be able to relive the ignasecond.(ignesecond=the moment you realize you have done something ignorant)

Ok. Thanks. How do I remove the back seat? And is this all I have to remove to access the sensor? Thanks

Yea you just have to peel back the carpet and insulation and it should be right there. Well that's where it was on my New Edge.

Hey, I'm doing research on ABS and was wondering, on a 94 gt, do you have 1 or 2 abs sensors in the rear?
