EGR—Check Engine Light
I have this issue where my check engine light comes on intermittantly.
When I pull the code from the computer it says 327, which is:
"EGR valve position circuit below minimum voltage"
I have replaced the EGR valve and the EGR position sensor on top, but still get this code.
The car runs fine and the opening going into the intake is clean.
I was going to try replacing the vacuum line going to the top of the valve next.
Has anyone experienced anything similar to this? Could the PCM be faulty for some reason?
Bad wires? What else can I try doing?

i gota that heck engine light on my 89 after i put long tubes and a catless hpipe. it comes on and off. but onyl thing differnet is that my code says.. EGR valve open. i thought it was my EGR valve that was bad but my cousin who had hte car before advanced the timing to the maximum before it started pinging and i didnt know so i pumped regular gas. now it runs fine
is your hpipe catted, or not. if not thats gonna be your problem, if they are, then you need to check the voltage at the EVP, with the key on engine off the voltage should be between 4.0-6.0volts, if not the PCM is bad, or has a bad connection. also check the vacuum solenoid connection, and the vacuum line from the solenoid to the EGR valve. there you will find your problem.
My H-pipe has hi-flo cats. I want to keep my car legal.
I tested the soleniod under the right fender that controls the EGR.
Doesn't seem to be functioning at all. So I ordered a new one for $36.
