Default Trickflow Intake Problems

Hey guys. Just installed the Trickflow upper and lower street heat intake on my 92 LX 5.0, along with the BBk Edelbrock 70mm TB and EGR spacer. Only problem is.... antifreeze is leaking from the lower intake. Any solutions? And if anyone is located near northern MD i could use some help

remove the intake Ryan and reseal it,with that intake you'll need to use the fel-pro 1250 gasket, which I assume you did?? the ports on the tfs intake are larger than the stock ports on the heads , so it is key to match a gasket to the lower intake, if you catch my drift?? i OFTEN PLACE SEALER around the water jackets on the underside of the gasket and topside occasionally, never had a leak done in this manner

sorry to see you having such a hard time with it Ryan. anyway yup , right on the back side of the gasket, they say you don't need to around the blue printoseal on the topside but I do it anyway, and I only do it around the waterjackets and not the intake ports, and I don't use the end cork gaskets, I run a thick bead of Permatex's "the right stuff" that stuff is like super glue!!! torque in sequence according to manufactorer specs, I torque the bolts often in three stages, first stage to around 7-8 ft lbs, second to around 14-15 then third to around 21-23 ft lbs, that way it is an even process.

you used the permatex on the gaskets too?

and i found torque ratings of
Step 1 96 in/lbs

--Step 2 16ft/lbs
...
--Step 3 23-25 ft/lbs

?? hmm..

and yeah this has been a 2 week long process ((

yup, around all the water jackets , top and bottom sides, not one leak from my 89 yet and it has a eddy rpm ii on it , I don't use sealer around the intake ports at all, if I do anything I spray some high tack on the back side of the gaskets only, some say I go overkill, but yet to have a leak done in such manner

basically the same manner I do it just do it in the three stages and after the third stage let it sit for 15-20 min then recheck torque, and go slow and don't muscle the lower or upper intake bolts so as to not break any this time around
