Unhappy Electrical Problem yeah

Alright, here's a book for you

Riding down a road, making a right turn, pop goes somthing, car dies. I have headlights, interior lights, no radio, no windows, no guages (but guage lights), found an accesory off ot the postive terminal wire touched the actual body ground.

Long story short two hours later, hard wired window to roll them up (temporarily), Jumped the positive post to the positive coil wire, the guages light up, fuel pump kicks on, can hardwire positive post to solenoid and it will turn over no fuel pump or spark, combined those two and nothing.

Next morning, replaced TFI, starter solenoid, several fuses. Still nothing, talked to a mechanic (real mechanic, thought he was highly knowlegdable) and he told me I could hard wire it to get home and nothing bad would come of it, he also said it was either my ignition switch (switch not the tumbler) or the fusible links.

Hard wired positive coil and positive terminal, car cranked ran and made it to the end of the driveway before the guages went then the car cutoff. Now when I jump the positive terminal to the postive coil side, nothing, I hear one relay but no fuel pump and no guages. So I decided to go ahead and replace the ignition switch and it does nothing.

As it stand, no response to key turn, power to headlights and interior lights. New TFI, solenoid, and ignition switch, and a medley of fuses (all are currently good) I'll do more trouble shooting tom, but any Idea's will be appreciated

well the grounds are fine, and the batteries good (the car ran great for a short period) the power wires are a different issue, I haven't had a chance to go through them yet
