what’s my problem?

I connected a tach in all the right places and i'm positive that the tach works, but it is giving me the wrong rpm. What is wrong? Is it my ignition coil? Thanks.

There's usually a switch on aftermarket tachs for 4/6/8 cylinder applications. Look for a switch and change it.
