Default Fuel Pump

My stock fuel pump has been really loud since i bought my car and I've decided now is the time to replace it. I'm thinking of getting a 155 lph holley pump. Will I need to get an AFR or will it be fine without one? I see that holley also has an AFR for only $54.88 from summit so maybe I should get one anyways?

yeah do what quik said but you have to get a gauge to know how much fuel pressure you are at

its not a must, but for under $100 its worth it. no matter how much fuel the pump is pumping the regulator (stock or not) will still control the fuel pressure which is why you dont have to get an aftermarket one, its always a good idea though to know you got the adjustability and you can keep an eye on the pressure.

Well I was just looking for gauges at summit and i realized that the holley AFPR doesnt have a fitting for a gauge, so I dont think I will be getting a regulator for a while, but I definately need the pump.

If you have the time, make yourself an access panel in bottom of the trunk in case you need to get to the fuel pump again later on.

yeah, the gauges run about $50 and bolt right to the fuel line shrader valve like quik said, you need it if you get an AFPR. both are easy to add later though, so if you cant get them now dont worry. the extra pressure will stress the stock FPR a little, but i still wouldnt worry about it.

Man I never would have thought about that. Summit is selling their guages for like 20 bucks so I will be able to get all this shortly.
