Wheel hop with new quad shocks in place? - Are they just about useless?
Just like the title says.... I've got a decent 87 GT vert. Last spring I've installed all new KYB front stuts, and (GR2) rear shocks and kickers. I've heard that the KYBs are a decent, inexpensive replacement for my old and tired shocks and struts. Well, the car rides much better and handles well. Except in one scenario. When it's wet out, (or dry for argument's sake), when I lean into it a little too much and the rear wheels loose traction, the rear end still hops around pretty badly. I know this is common on the solid rear axle setups of the Fox bodies, but I was hoping that new quads in the back would control the hop better, if not get rid of it all together. I guess to eliminate the hop, I'd probably have to go with new LCA, new bushings, etc. Is this to be expected (axle hop) even with new quads on the rear end of our Mustangs? Just curious what others think. Thank guys..
Ebay specials will do wonderfully
I bought these and they work perfectly, I bought two at once and got them shipped together so I only paid shipping for one, had them on the car for a few months now, the tires don't bounce, they spin, i run 9 inch wide soft compound tires

I know its cheap stuff, they do work and work well, I was going to get the AGX kyb's for the quads but they have a full metal body top and bottom and while its better it doesn't offer enough clearance for my wider tires.
