5.0 Issues (Timing)
I Have A 90 Lx 2.3 Now 5.0 Using A 84 Model Block And Newer Top End Stuff. So Its An 84 Fuel Injected. Ive Tryed Several Different Timing Orders And Ive Also Changed # 3 4 5 7 Injectors Around And Im Having Problems With Firing. When You Drive It You Can Feel The Stutter In It Like It Fires Sum Times And Others No. So I Figured That Was Bad On Pistons So I Made My Sis Quit Driving It. Cant Seem TO Figure It Out......

you do not have adequate info listed..........is it cfi fuel injected motor ?? or does it have the late 80's-90's efi set up?? h.o firing order is 13726548.....there is also a 289/302 firing order, no other firing orders exist

What yr did the harness come from? Ecm? If 5.0 efi firing order is as stated above. U should never have to move inj plugs. 5.0 n 351 cam firing orders are the same. U cant just stck a 351 cam in it unless its roller cam, or u buy cam and lifter set. There are many unknown variables so tell us all u know about ur setup. Harness, ecm, mass air or SD, ect.

Its A 90 model 5.0 harness And Also I Changed The Injectors back and forth to h/o to non h/o its still spudders. but using an 84 model block witch has a hydro flat tappet cam. So It Should Have Non H/o Firing Order, and i used the non h/o firing order and put injecter plugs back to the normal position and still same results.

So u split open the injector harness and moved the plugs? Before we go around our azzes to pick our nose have u changed plugs wire etc? Does ur fuel pressure stay constant?
Is it a popin or afterfire? Or is it backfiring through the induction system?
Remove the cap and check it and rotor button for carbon!

yea when its running it will pop back through intake witch it may be a lil advanced in timing still not running correct u can tell. and yes i spliced injecter harness moved them um 7 and 3 and also 5 and 4

wtf, quit swapping the injector plugs, you need to make sure your using the firing order for the motor you got. As stated, theres only 2. Also make sure you have the distributor were its supposed to be,could be 180 out.
