Default New clutch minor slip

hey guys I have a question about my car well the problem is my car seems to have slight clutch slippage when the engine is under load. The car has a new clutch(stock) but we used the old adjustable clutch cable in it. I think the clutch cable needs to be adjusted but anyway the car has a new motor in it maybe 3 weeks old...mild motor with gt-40 irons and mild cam. car shifts fine though..lol but maybe too easy...feels like driving a caddy..smooth but under load engines revs nice but car barely goes anyware..my father says its slipping.. what u guys think. I'll appreciate your input.

Well i hope whoever installed it made sure the flywheel and clutch disk where Super Clean with no oil on them! I dont think your clutch cable is causing it...

deff. would cause it thats like the number one thing that most people forget, even the oils from your fingers and your skin can make a clutch slip thats why they make a clutch disc tool to help line it up and so you dont have to touch it and get it dirty

well the mechanic that installed it did use the clutch tool though...thats weird because with the orginal motor and clutch was that was in it were doing the same with but it was hard to get in gear then so I believe that was the clutch but now its weird. I have a gt hatchback that has a similiar problem to this a long time ago where the clutch pedal would have to be raised all the way up for the car to engage, this notch I have now does the same thing...but anyways to fix the gt we notices the bushing on the clutch cable under the hood on the firewall was being pulled too tight and was warn out so we replace the cable and i didnt have that problem anymore.. but the guy that had this notch before me put like header wrap all of the clutch cable so I cant tell with this car.

Well let me put it like this I'm a little embarrassed to say this but it had nothing to the due with the clutch or clutch cable at all. I forgot to the mention that after installation of the new engine I've had some distributor problems. The Distr. wouldnt say down. It even tore the gear up on one but didnt hurt the engine but anyways to make a long story short. the engine's timing wasnt properly set so I got a timing light on her last night and set her 12 degrees for performance and put some kyb gas struts on the front b/c my front end rode horrible. one of the originally was busted. Well she runs alot better now, sorry if i made anyone think to hard when it was another issue.
