I know how to do the procedure, but for some reason where ever I set the idle it always ends up about 200-300 rpms higher once I plugged the IAC back in. Basically if i set it at 1000, I would have an idle of 1300. I recently set it around 700 and it ended up around 900. So my question is, can I just set the idle with the IAC still plugged in, then disconnect battery and run the procedure like normal b/c I can't get it where i want it by guessing.
