Default Oil Pump Shaft

Wats up guys! Was wondering what was the easiest way to change the oil pump shaft?

Pull the engine! Did it break? if so would be wise to check the bearings.
you can remove the pan in the car and change the shaft but it isnt that easy!
If it didnt break dont bother.

Dats just it I think I broke it. Car has zero oil pressure in a 6 month old build so i dnt think its the oil pump. Thinking I mite have broken the shaft. My bearing are ok thank god!!!!

How do you know the bearings are Ok if you dont have the engine out of the car?

No the only thing you will hear is a engine sieze completely while running! its an awful sound lol.
Other than looking at the bearing there is no way to tell if they are hurt!

If the oil pump shaft broke and the engine ran for even a half second I'd bet the bearings are history, all of them......

My car ran for a couple minutes with no oil pressure, and my bearings were fine.

I love assembly lube!

Yes jsut becasue you lost oil pressure dosent mean its bad, just take a look and be sure!
To really hurt the bearing they have to get hot!
