Default Phenolic Spacers

I got a freind making me one right now. It's 1/2" thick for $50. he does a good job too. I'm just wondering what kind of gains to expect maybe 1-2 hp and likewise for torque?

i orderd a 3/8" trickflow phenolic spacer, i got to pick it up tomorrow, soon i'll be able to put my hand on the intake without burning it.

I did do a search and it never really gave me a straight answerand plus there are a lot of results to shift through.
