I have a 1988 gt and i just put new gt40p heads on it and hooked everything up and when i fired it up there was smoke coming out of the throttle body.. does anyone know what it could be?

How long was it running before the "smoke" started coming out? Coolant runs through the throttle body, perhaps you damaged a gasket and the smoke is actually vaporized coolant.

It started smoking as soon as i stated it.
