hello I have a 88 Gt aod, I replaced the aod in the car three months ago I had to turn the lever 180 degres bc it wasn't the same as the one I had in my car! I took the car to the track and the tv cable broke at the track and burned up the trans... the car drove fine w the new trans but when I went to park the car I put it in park and it shut right off and I tryed to start it back up it wouldn't start had to get towed home.. I tryed starting it again it would crank over staying runing for a sec and shut right back off. When I put it in neutral it stays running,when I put it in gear it shuts right off,I took the neutral safety switch out when I did it flung out are they supose to do that when I tryed to put a new one back in it won't go down inside. I was told the trans was stuck in two gears that's why it wouldn't go back down. Anyone could help that would be great..
