Default Coolant system flush

Used the search function, didn't find an answer I could use. Anyway, changed the thermostat and flushed the coolant system. Just wanted to know how long I sould let the car run to ensure that all new fluids were mixed well?

That's what I did.. I just wanted to make sure that all the coolant in the block was the same "mix" that I tested in the rad. after flushing.. I did the flush with distilled water until clear and filled with Prestone straight, then 50/50, run for 20 minutes ('stat open, heater blowing hot) tested the coolant, all good....

Thanks

Also, what is the normal target reading you guys go for when testing? (i.e. -25, -40, etc.)

TIA

depends on the area you live in and how cold it gets, here in MD -20 is more than sufficient, use a tester to verify where you're at
