Well my buddy has a 1989 Notch that he wants to trade for my hatch.The notch is in great shape in and out, i was going to do an engine swap outta my hatch into his notch, the car is really mint it lines up rite next to my car on the overall specs but i just dont no if im going to like the notch better... what do you all suggest

The notch is lighter... and I think it looks better too. I would go for the notch if i had the chance.

I always had a thing for the notches (always in great demand). I think that's why Ford only made coupes and conv. after '93.

I beleive that they are the rarest of the 5.0s, I don't see many of them in Denver (when I'm in town). I want to get rid of this convertible sooo bad and get a notch.

IMHO, the notch maybe the way to go for a drag car.
The body shuold be a little more rigid due to the fact the hatch has the big door and the notch don't.
Also, if you are going to ever install a roll bar/cage it will be easier to do on the notch.
The notch cars were lighter but I don't think it's 300# more like 100#.

If you are making a drag car the notch is the way to go no question.
