mech. oil pressure install
Hey guys. I had a couple questions about hooking up a mech. oil pressure gauge. So does the actual pressure line tap into the oil pan? Also I've been thinkin of a good place to hook my power wire into. Any segestions? Thanks.

No the oil pan has no pressure inside it. You need to find out where the factory oil pressure sending unit is and put the fitting in that location.

ok to start your oil pressure line has to be on the pressure side, if you drill your pan and put it in their it prolly would not read anything, Here is what you do, where the stock oil pressure sending unit is take that out, go to the hardware store and get a brass t fitting that is 3/8 pipe thred its going to have 3 female ends, then get an adaptor its just a small pice of 3/8 pipe with threds, screw that in one side of the t, then put the stock oil pressure sending unit back in another hole, and then put the new line in the last hole simple as that.
