Default intermitent problem please help.

First post,

Ive been reading on here for some time now and cant find my answer. So here goes, Ive got an 88 lx ssp car. Sometimes when i go to start the car it will act almost like it has a dead battery and ill here a clicking sound. I know that this usually illustrates a bad connection or a loose wire so I checked all my connections everything is nice and tight. Could this be caused by the starter relay going bad or else where. Battery tested and checked out good. Its also located in the trunk and grounded all the way up to the block then to the frame.

I would like to be able to drive this car anywhere with out worry..

thanks

Well I may have just found my answer. I got on you tube and found a video describing what my problem was. According to the video its the solenoid on the driver side fender well. So well swap that and see if that takes care of it. Still thoughts and ideas are appreciated.

thanks

I would say start with the solenoid. Cheap enough part and easy to change.

Solenoids of that style are also called relays, so you were essentially correct before your 2nd post.
