Car will not start. Starter stuck in & then car stalled. Replaced starter & then the car will not run Starter works fine but engine will not fire. The fuel pump will not run when you turn key on. Checked relay & put a jumper & pump will run. I bought a code reader but it will not read any codes. Took out ecm & inspected board & did not see any internal damage.

 

First, verify what your missing. Fuel or spark ?

Also, did you drink a pot of coffee before that post? kinda chaotic lol.

As I said the fuel pump will not turn on when I turn the key to the on pos. I tried to explain the checks that I made so I could some reasonable advice. As far as spark I understand unless the pump runs & builds pressure the ecm will turn on spark function.

 

Problem solved replaced computer.

 

thread closed.......next time do a better job of explaining all tests performed, because all the tests you did are half azzed at best and in the middle of the circuit testing.......jumpering the pump relay only verifies a few things since the ecm triggers the relay for 2 sec in koeo mode and then off when no pip is seen, you could of quickly verified ecm issue by hooking test light to power source on 1 end and backprobe that pin at relay and see if ecm was grounding the coil side to relay........catch my drift?? this was just one area I can poke holes in your flawed troubleshooting in the middle.......verify all ends next time and you won't get responses like such.
