First post here and I need some help figuring out a problem. I have a 1988 5.0 that I converted to carb and dropped in a Factory Five Racing Cobra. It is bored .030 over and completely rebuilt/balanced with the following MSD 6AL and dist., E303 cam, roller rockers, Edlebrock Performer RPM heads, intake and 650 carb. It has all new bearings, pistons and rings. The problem I am having is my plugs are oily. After 1500 miles, they are black and starting to form deposits on them. At an idle, there is a little smoke present but not much. Also, when I removed the plugs, there is oil on the threads. There are no leaks at the valve covers and I am usings breathers. Does anyone have an idea as to what I need to look for?</P>
