Default Question about Valve Cover Breather

I have a 1993 GT that has been changed from EFI to Carb. One the driver side valve cover there is a breather. On the passenger side there is a PCV valve and that is routed to the vacuum port on the back of the carb.

My question is why is there smoke coming out of my breather? It isn't a ton but it is enough that you can see it coming out of the hood cowl. Shouldn't it be sucking air in? It doesn't spew oil or anything but I just hate seeing a puff of smoke coming out of my cowl all the time.

Thanks

Do you drive the car enough or does it just sit in the garage most of the time? It could be the condensation from the engine that is being opened up. The smoke usually goes away after you heat it and run it.

I drive it about once a week. But the smoke doesn't really go away even after 30 minutes of spirited driving.

Here is a video of it. When driving and I really get on the gas it gets worse. Does this look normal?

You sure the pcv is connected to full vacuum and not just the air cleaner?

Yea it is hooked up to the port in the carb. It was on the back port but edelbrock recommends using the front port so I changed it. There was no difference.

you need to make sure it is on the right port drawing manifold vaccum and not ported vaccum
