Starting problem
When you go to start my 91LX after it has been sitting for awhile it will start then when it idles down it dies. Restart and the same thing. If you blip the throttle as soon as the motor starts it is fine. After that if you turn it off it will fire right up.
It also idles very rough when you first start it after it has sat for awhile. It idles like it has a big lopy cam in it. After it warms up the idle clears out.
The car has 200,000 miles on it, and a 190 fuel pump if that makes any difference.
Any ideas?
Also has anyone used a Dyna Mod TFI module? There was one in the glovebox when I bough the car and have been debating on wheather or not to put it on.

RE: Starting problem
sounds normal to me. if its like mine it has to warm up a bit. any car you let sit for a while will idle rough when first started. just let it warm up for a minute or so before you take off and it should be fine

RE: Starting problem
Pulled the IAC and it looks new. Cleaned it out any way to be sure. Also pulled the throttle body and cleaned the carbon from around the throttle blades. Already has new plugs, wires, cap and rotor. Set the TPS at .940, timing is at 14 base.
Would a bad fuel pressure regulator cause this problem? Reason I'm asking is because my fuel pressure fluctuates at idle from when you first start it and after it runs a few minutes, and bleeds off rather quickly after shutting off the car.
Like I said it has a 190 fuel pump with 19lb injectors, so the fuel pump shouldn't be working hard enough to be a problem. I'm going to put in a new fuel filter this weekend and see if that helps.
