Default E303 cam needs

So Im rebuilding my 5.0 and I bought a E cam for it it's bored .030 and Ive heard u can't use stock valve springs and rockers with the set up ... I had bought new valve springs but I guess they don't fit the heads correctly... I just need to know wat I need and an explination behind it because if I can use the stock head assembly that would be great... thanks

Upgrading the springs is just a good idea as the stockers were barely adequate for the stock cam.

Your stock rockers will be fine, it's just most guys swap in aftermarket roller rockers for the benefits.

EDIT: I reread your thread again. What springs did you get ? And your reusing the stock E7 heads correct ?

what are the benefits of roller rockers ... I believe I'm using the e7 it's not gt40 ... I heard the springs I got don't fit right on the heads and needs machining here is the link >> http://www.americanmuscle.com/compcams-valvesprings-8595.html
just need to know what I really need because I've been told the stock rockers won't hold up and yea kinda don't what to go back through the motor again because things didn't hold up u know

Roller rockers are just a more efficient design. Less friction = More HP.

Those springs you have are a double spring design. Milling is required for clearance around the inner spring.

I'd reaserch alittle more to see if there's a single spring you can use instead. Google or search this forum, there's a ton of good info to be found.
