Could be the ignition module which is located on the distributor. They go bad often and would allow the car to crank but not start. It's very inexpensive and easy to change. I would try that first. Make sure to coat the back with silacone if you do change it or it will go bad again quickly b/c of the heat.

for the ignition module NEVER use silicone!
use dielectric grease.

you can get a used fuel pump bracket from the junkyard for cheap.
if you are going to modify your beast you may as well put a new higher flowing fuel pump while you have the takn down.

I had the same problem. I swapped plugs, wires, fuel filter, and fuel pump. It ended up being the ignition module. I know you said you ordered it, did you install it yet?

do you have gas going to the engine? if you have spark then you might have a cloged fuel line or check the switch in the trunk or hatch to see if you puped that, just push it down....same thing happened to me a few years ago and thats what it turned out to be
