TORNADO
I woke up and saw that stupid tornado infomercial im sure youvce all seen, and wondered if it actually worked. The idea seems like it might - to get air funneling into your intake (at least for fuel injection) - but then I thiught it might slow the air down too much...

Anyone tried this thing?

It is stupid and not worth anything...yeah it does swirl the air but by the time is goes into the intake and through the runners is gets cancelled out...it is useless... a guy I know had it on his Toyota tundra... it didn't do nuthin

The idea is very feasable. Spinning the air makes it go into "fluid" flow, thus creating a less resistant, non turbulent air stream. The fact of the matter is, it just doesnt work. It can only work in the samebasic shape, alongwithslowly changing diameterpiping and contortion that the flow was started in (meaning a mandrel bent pipe, all the way from intake to the combustion chamber. This just isnt possible within any car. Granted the flow rate to the chamber may be a bit quicker, however, the increase in fluid flow is not significant enough to cause a noticible difference in performance cars, even regular economy cars. Especially with the intakes on stangs, the idea works, but the application doesnt.

I hate to say it, but it does work. No performance really but gas milliage did go up 5 miles per gallon. No lie!

Hence why I said the rate of flow may be better, but in general really makes no sense to spend that kind of money for 5 mpg. Maybe you were just driving a little lighter. I dont know, the point is, no mustang needs that thing.
