Default kill switch

so i bought a kill switch casue sometimes i have to park in the bad side of town. i once read on here that someone set it up theirs so when you try to crank it the engine turns over but won't start so they think it's out of gas or something.

could someone help me find this article or tell me how they did this?

i have that exact set-up, it's definetly the best defense system against thieves. i can't really tell you how exactly it works though because it was on the car when i bought it. just make sure you hide the switch properly.

fuel pump wire sounds right, i'm gonna check it out this winter while i'm working on the car. i'll do a write-up on when i figure how it's hooked up. maybe they could make a sticky about this to prevent our fellow MFers from getting their car jacked.

You you can splice into the fuel pump power line, I wouldnt reconmend it just because somthing might burn up or trip the switch by accident.

I also put a kill switch on my car but I just spliced it into the starter solinoid so you cant even crank then car over even with a key. Also you can trip the switch by accident when the car is running and it wont shut off. Easiest safty thing I have ever done to the car, I used to worry about my car getting jacked when I was at school but now with the switch I can go at ease.

I also live in a city where its very common the have cars stolen, and go to school in a ghetto *** place.

Thanks for telling everyone where your switch is located. I think i'll go steal your car now.

i was thinkin under the dash but i think if someone broke into my car (which is easy casue it's a convertible) they'll see it. where are all the good places to hide it? i was thinkin passenger's side under the dash, or under the driver's seat?
