Any Advice on upgrades for the Car Illiterate?

I know next to nothing at the moment, but i'm really getting interested in this because i had purchased my first beefy stang last september. I had one before(which was my first car) for a year but it was a 91 4cyl... it could barely move as it is, no problems with it tho but if i were to get a mustang i want power!

SoI eventually saved up about 5.5k and went searching for a nice fox body styled gt.

The previous ownerHAD done a few things to it butI'm not sureexactly what...

I know he said he had put a bigger cam in it, andI know that helps with acceleration and lowers the max speed or something right?

I also know he changed the transmission (don't know how good the current one he put inwas) but its a T5tranny or whatever sorry CAR ILLITERATE if there was sposta be more after the t5 part.

he also changed the gear ratio to 4.11 NO idea what that does at all... and he said it was aNEAR stock 302, andI read up on that a little bit so its like 302 is the SIZEof the engine and the stock engine puts out 225 hp?

heALSO said it wasequiped to run a 75 shot ofNOS correctly... so thats sitting in theback of my car.

and i alsonoticed its got a big beefy air filter ill posta pic of the engine when im done sayin stuff. The car runs perfectly fine, I'm loving it but its my first Manual transmission car so im gettin used to the stick, i can almost change gears fast nice n good.

Oh and he also said that before he changed the CAM and something elseI fergot what, the car ran low 13's on the quarter mile without NOS. Thats good right?

Well anyhooI'll get to my point. I just wanted to know any of the EASY upgradesI could possibly attempt myself to help boost the HP some. Because one dayI was at a stoplight and thisjetta pulled up beside me, light turned and he kept right up

Oh and I think it's got an H pipe too if it's supposed to look like an H underneath it does

and also the fastest i've dared to go in it was 140mph and the Tachometer(rpm gauge thing? i suck sorry...) was only at 3,800 rpm's so it couldve gone much faster.

Almost fergot too the car also has been lowered 1 and a half inches on Eibach springs if that matters at all...

Oh and does anyone know an Estimated amount of HP it could be pushing? People ask and I have not a single clue... and i wont be able to get it "dyno" tested til spring.

Sorry for the constant Edits and the Title change i keep thinkin of stuff and the old title wasnt fitting.

ok heres the engine pic and one side shot

Headers and intake. The stock ones suck. That would free up about 40 HP. Nice car though, someone needs to teach you a thing or two about how they work, so stick around and read some of our articals, some books, and read the tech articals in magazines. If you learn nothing else today remember this: Real life is nothing like The Fast And The Furious. If that movie was true so would this statement:

Right, and the headers are the rust colored things sticking out of the side of the engine. Those are not hard to change, just take your time, and remember how it comes apart. On second thought get a chilton manual for all the procediers and torque specs(how tight the bolts are suposed to be).
