Default Crate Engine

Hey guys, then engine on my 89 GT is getting a bit tired now so i'm thinking of splashing out on a new crate engine of around 350 - 390 hp, spending around $6K. There seem to be quite a few companies around selling these, but I dont want to be sold a heap of junk - was thinking about Ford Racing or the engine factory. Have any of you guys got any experience or suggestions ??

Many thanks

Why dont you rebuild the engine you got? With 6k you can get a lot of hp. Also your going to need better suspension to lay the power to the ground.

Thanks guys - think I might go with the Ford Racing XE3M engine with a GT40 inlet - should give plenty of power for everyday use. Still quite tempted on a stroker but the way gas prices are going these days Ive had second thoughts!
