Default Valve cover problems...

Ok I have just finished all the big stuff in my heads and intake swap, I baught some crome Edelbrock valve covers,
The problem Im having is, the oil breather caps dont clear my intake, they are too big.

I found some caps that will fit and clear but they dont have breathers.

My question, what problems will I have if I dont have a vent in the valve covers? Do they need to be vented?

Please help, Be a pitty to set back starting up my car because of no oil caps.

Because they were the cheapest ones. And they look very nice.

But you guys didnt answer my question, do I need to have a breather on the valve covers?

why not just use the correct ones. EFI ones have the hose from the filler tube to the TB. when you plug up the hose. you can use a breather cap. but should sell those and polish up the stockers or if you need the clearance get some FRPP ones like i used to have or etc

also remember cheap will cause issues in long run

yeah you need a breather cap...cause if you dont when you drive your car the cap will be shot out of your valve cover...and then you have a big mess...trust me i know...i did the same thing when i got my intake and have the same problem with my edelbrock valve covers....look good but the biggest pain in the *** i have ever delt with...good luck...

So carb valve covers will work on efi engines? It seems like everytime i find some valve covers I like, they say carbed engines only.
