i just bought a cobra intake manifold for my 89 lx. what tb size should i use 65 or 70 mm. i plan to do heads eventually.

As long as you've just got bolt ons and nothing like a blower or a H/C/I swap, I'd stay with a 65mm.

gears, exhaust, and cold air intake, i am planning to do roller rockers a cam along with the cobra intake

does it really hurt if you go 70 ... i mean most the time the difference is a few bucks... and wouldent it help later when he gets into more agressive mods..?

No it really dosent. I do not know why people freak out over 5mm. I would go with a 70mm. Especially since you plan on doing more upgrades in the future.

I'd say go with the 70mm b/c thats what the cobra intake is ported for. I'm trying to remember what my buddy had on his LX 5.0 but he gained a good deal of HP going from a 65-70mm TB, and i think it was before the heads and cam, but im not totally sure. Id say go with the 70mm and do the heads sooner than later. Better to not buy parts more than once if you can help it.
