Weird Problem
i have a 95 mustang gt with an automatic that is pretty much stock except a cold air intake, accel plug wires, cap and rotor, and coil. i have a problem that has been going on for a while and i cant figure it out. occasionally the engine just decides to die. sometimes when im idling, sometimes cruising, and even a couple times at about 3500 rpm in first gear. then after it dies, it might start right back up or it might not. i never know. it seems shaking the car back and forth will make it finally kick on. the engine is running strong but i have no idea why it is just dieing like this. please help me
haha Loose battery connection cutting power, look at all the things that black said as well it can be as simple as a loose ground wire, coil wire.. anything ya gotta do the good old process of elimination
no bucking or anything it just instantly drops to 0 rpm. i guess ill just go and check and make sure everything connected tight. thanks guys i figured it would be a simple little thing and hopefully i can fix it without spending any money
also, anyone know how short first gear would be if i got 4.10 gears? cause right now the 1-2 shift is at 55 mph so im gettin beat off the line by pos imports and then im just about to blow right past them at about 40 mph and they hit the brakes, thinking they won. [:@]

Try replaceing the ingnition module. (I might be saying that wrong). the little box on the distributor. I had the same problem. After reading about it I replaced that part and the problem went away. I think this is another one of those common mustang things.
well i just got back from havin the thing towed. it died in the middle of a busy street but thank god someone pulled me to the side of the road or else i wouldve gotten killed. im gettin very little fuel pressure so its either the wiring, the fuel filter, or the fuel pump. its just as well cause while its in the shop im getting flowmaster cat back exhaust, new ring and pinion and maybe a shift kit. thanks for your input guys i appreciate it very much.
No Problem dude, those 4:10s will make you happy in the pants along with the shift kit.... While your at it get a 190 LPH pump incase you feel like doing more mods in the future they support well over 300 at the wheels
