Default Shuts down when hot

I have an '85 LX vert with a 5.0. When it gets hot after running for while, I have a real problem keeping the car running. If the car shuts off and sits for about 5-10 minutes I can get it started again. The car is stock, no real mods other than Flowmasters. Any suggestions or thoughts would be appreciated.

I'm not sure of the fuel pressure. I changed the fuel filter and that helped some. I will need to check the coil placement, it is outside under a tarp currently. But I would imagine that the coil is in the stock placement since no changes have been made under the hood.

Thats definately in your ignition.Mine would do something like that but it wouldnt die it would cut out.It ended up being in the wiring.Thats an 85 and if i remember right thats a 4 barrel right? If so you are most likely running the DURASPARK 2 setup as i am so i would check the wiring.I used the wiring from a donor car which was old and had been spliced into a few times previously.

Check all your connections and if still no luck you may want to rewire it.Its very easy.Mine looked to be fine and it still did it up until i rewired it.
