i took my intake off 2day to change the lifters and in the intake and exhaust ports everywhere there is a bunch of carbon covering the walls so i pulled the plugs and they are white i have 30lb injectors which is prolly a little to much so i know its not running lean but the plugs are white i dont know what the problem is anyone have a idea

Carbon build-up is common and not that big of a deal, UNLESS it is really really bad. As for trying to read your old plugs, just cause they are whiteish does not mean anything, if you want to know how it is really running you need to put it on a dyno and read the A/F. Why are you changing the lifters? Was there a problem with them?

ive taking many engines apart and the carbon build up was never this bad its not horrible but it seems worse them normal no they were taping so i was guessing they were bad and they were without taking it to the dyno i would think with my setup and 30 lb injectors it would have the plugs at least normal or little rich but they are white
