Just put a triax on my daughter's 88 gt on christmas. She had a stock shifter and the steeda is a world of difference(well, she says it is.I haven't been able to get near the car since I installed it.She says she LOVES it!!!)I can say it installs very easily. The speedshop where we bought it only had one in stock and the box was open. All the parts I needed to install it were there,I think maybe it came with a sticker or something like that in the box and they took it. jim

yea well i got the steeda, and i love it [sm=smiley20.gif] it is stiff and quickly pops it into 3rd. im still having my problem with my trans though but hoping to fix that soon. it really is a world of a difference but i must say. it was one ****ing son of a bitch to install. the screws for my heat shield were underneath my cd player, so it was tough to get to. but it was definitly worth it

i have the steed shifter but have to say my stock one was also nice. it was a non-worn out piece. it shifted smooth and never had an issue with missing gears with stock shifter well i was powershifting.

only reason i went with a aftermarket is to have the stops. without the stops then theres teh possiblities to over throw a gear and kill the tranny.

as for the lenght of throw i dont think there was a difference. i kept my steeda at teh stock height. i like the stock height, its just more comfortable to shift with the lever higher up then down low. maybe if i was short, it might then be a better thing but i like it up in stock postion
